Sarah & Sam
What was your ring buying experience like?
Sarah: Stress-free for me! It was great to meet with Chelsea for the style appointment and then be surprised at the engagement!
Sam: Sarah had a style appointment, which ended up being really helpful because I was able to have an idea of what styles she liked without ruining the surprise of getting engaged. The whole process was very personalized and relaxed.
Why did you choose Honey Designs to design your ring?
Sarah: Chelsea is a personal friend of mine, so it was great to work with someone I trust, especially since we were using a family stone.
Sam: We were using a family stone, so we wanted to ensure that we worked with someone that we trusted a lot.
What surprised you the most?
Sarah: How many options there are, yet how easy it was to work with Chelsea and narrow down my specific style.
Sam: The overall personalization and care that goes into it from Chelsea. It was like night and day compared to a chain jeweler.
What do you love most about your ring?
Sarah: I love that this has been specially design to include the diamond from my mom's engagement ring. I lost my mom to breast cancer in high school, so it has been really special carrying something of hers with me every day.
Sam: That we were able to Sarah's mom's diamond.
How did you & your significant other meet?
Sarah: We met at a party where Sam and I knew everyone there but each other.
Sam: Sarah was on the prowl at a party. We didn't know each other (though we both knew everyone else there) and she asked her friend to introduce us.
Where was your first date?
Sarah: On our first actual date, we went to dinner at Cock & Bull in Hyde Park (where Sam copied my order) and went for a drink at Arthur's afterward.
Sam: After texting for a couple of weeks I went for it via text and said "so are we hanging out tomorrow, or what?" Luckily, my bullishness paid off. The next day, which was a Sunday, we went to Ault Park.
Where’s your favorite hidden gem in Cincy?
Sarah: We live in the Pleasant Ridge area, so I'll pick somewhere close to home... Mio Vino, a microwinery in Deer Park, is a blast! We always enjoy our time there and the owners are so fun to talk with.
Sam: Italianette Pizza
What other local Cincinnati businesses do you love?
Sarah: Skeleton Root, The Eagle, Italianette Pizza, Eli's BBQ…
Sam: Everybody's Records, Coffee Emporium, MadTree, Rhinegeist
Favorite Way to Spend a Date Day/Night:
Sarah: We love to be outdoors, so camping is a great way for us to spend quality time together. We like to go to Red River Gorge to hike, make foil packs for dinner and enjoy our beverage of choice by the fire.
Sam: Spending time together down at my mom's walking around the farm or camping in Red River Gorge. I value disconnected one-on-one time.
