What was your ring buying experience like?
J: It was awesome, convenient, took all the stress away from buying, super easy to customize the idea that I had and Chelsea did a great job adding to what I wanted, making it extremely unique.
Why did you choose Honey Designs to design your ring?
J: I didn’t want to go to a big jeweler where I felt I would be forced into buying something. Chelsea gave me lots of different options, staying in the budget I provided and exceeding my expectations on what we got.
Describe the process of working with Honey Designs remotely:
J: It was just easy. Chelsea was very personal, making sure she knew myself and Kara, paying great attention to detail. She was extremely accessible, always answering my texts/calls/emails and always taking the time to walk me through the process.
What surprised you the most?
K: Everything was a surprise. The ring itself was beyond my expectation, the proposal, photographer, everything.
J: How easy it was for me with Chelsea’s help curating the whole experience.
What do you love most about your ring?
J: That I was able to put my idea for the design into motion.
K: That Jake had an idea for what he wanted and the whole uniqueness; it’s perfect.
How did you and your significant other meet?
K: I worked with a woman who’s married to an army friend of Jake’s. She had wanted to set us up for a while and I had said no a couple of times before she talked me into it and it worked out pretty alright.
J: We were set up by an army buddy.
Where was your first date?
K: The Fern, a bar in Findlay.
J: Some bar in Findlay.
Where’s your favorite hidden gem in Columbus/Johnstown, Ohio?
K: The Johnstown bike path.
J: Villa pizza.
Favorite way to spend a date day/night:
K: Depends on the day. Some days, I love not having anything to do; we stay at home and binge watch Game of Thrones. We also go to a lot of sporting events, which is always interesting since we do not like any of the same teams ☺
J: I’m kind of torn. We’re so busy right now with weddings and vacation that I really like just hanging out at home not doing much of anything, but we also go to a lot of baseball games which is always fun. I love that Kara likes baseball as much, if not more, than I do.
